Onboard SAS controller with IME functionality For operating internal hard disk drives the SAS controller with Integrated Mirroring Enhanced functionality is available. Integrated Mirroring Enhanced offers additionally RAID 0,1 functionality for the internal disk configuration (IME level 1).

Power supply In its basic configuration, the server has a hot-plug multi-range power supply unit that adjusts automatically to any power voltage in the range from 100 V - 240 V.

    Important Notes In this chapter you will find essential information regarding safety when working with your server. Safety The following safety notes are also provided in the “Safety ” manual. This device complies with the relevant safety regulations for data processing equipment.

During installation and before operating the device, observe the instructions on environmental conditions for your device (see section “Technical Data” on page 20). If the device is brought in from a cold environment, condensation may form both inside and on the outside of the machine.

Otherwise you run the risk of losing data if, for example, the central processing unit is still running but the peripheral device (e.g. storage subsystem) has failed during a power outage.
