CHAPTER 4
INSTALLATION TEST PROCEDURE
1. GENERAL
This chapter explains the procedure to start up the DRU, the basic functional tests, and loop-back tests to be per-
formed after the installation has completed.
2. INSTALLATION TEST PROCEDURE
The installation test procedure of the DRU is shown below.

Start-up of the DRU
Check of Lamp Indications and
System Messages
Check of Loop-Back Test Execu-
tion Required/Not Required
Check of battery operation when a
power supply failure
END
Referring to Paragraph 2.1: "Start-up of the DRU", start up the
DRU
Referring to Paragraph 2.2: "Check of Lamp Indications and
System Messages", check to see if there is any lamp indication
or system message which indicates abnormality after the DRU
has started up.
Referring to Paragraph 2.3: "Check of Loop-Back Test Execu-
tion Required/Not Required", check to see if there is any abnor-
mality on the transmission line between the DRU and the
NEAX2400 IMS after the DRU has started up.
Referring to Paragraph 2.4: "Check of Battery Operation when
Power Supply Failure to the DRU", check to see if the battery
of the DRU is operating.
