5.2.4 Explanation of service data
a) SSSW (Service Soft Switch settings)
The items registered and set by each of these switches comprise 8-bit switches. The figure below shows
which numbers are assigned to which bits. Each bit has a value of either 0 or 1.
See the chart in the service data shown in this Chapter, 5.2.3 Service data settings to see effective bits
and their default values. With the exception of new switches added to this model the meanings (functions)
of the bits are not described in this manual except the new switches added to this model. See the G3
Facsimile Service Data Handbook (supplied separately) for details of the switches.
