Installing Signal Cables
The EGW2100 supports varieties of extension interface cards. The following takes the 3G and 1ADSL2+ interface card as an
example to illustrate the process of installing signal cables. The following table simply shows the layout and cable mapping of
interfaces of each type. For details on the installation of the cables, refer to the installation guide in the delivered disk.

Telephone line
You can make the telephone and EGW2100 simultaneously
online by using a splitter; alternatively, you can connect the
ADSL2+ interface of the EGW2100 to the Internet directly.

Connect the Console interface on the rear panel to the
serial port of PC through the console cable.

Connect the LAN interface (FE1/0/0 to FE1/0/7) on
the rear panel to the PC or switch on the internal
network through network cables.

Connect the WAN interface on the rear panel to
the Ethernet network through network cables.

ADSL splitter

Connect the ADSL interface to the MODEM
port of the ADSL splitter through the first
telephone line. Connect the LINE port of the
splitter to Internet through the second
telephone line. And connect the PHONE port
of the splitter to the telephone through the third
telephone line.
