Grinding-specific tool data
4.1.1
Structure of tool data
Grinding tools (tool type: 400 to 499) normally have specific tool and dresser data in addition to
cutting edge data.
The grinding wheel-specific data for the left and right wheel geometry can be stored under a T
number in the tool cutting edges D1 and D2.
If data is needed for the dresser geometry, it can be stored as follows:
● In the tool cutting edges from D3 of a T number
● In additional cutting edge-specific parameters (see MD18096
$MN_MM_NUM_CC_TOA_PARAM)
