Personnel Requirements
Only certified electricians are allowed to install, connect cables for, commission, maintain,
troubleshoot, and replace the SUN2000. Operators need to meet the following requirements.





Protecting Labels
Do not scrawl, damage, or block any warning label and nameplate on the SUN2000 enclosure.
System Installation
Do not install the SUN2000 with the power on.





Grounding


Electrical Connections
Before connecting cables, ensure that the SUN2000 is secured in position and not damaged in
any way. Otherwise, electric shocks or fire may occur.




Be properly trained.
Read through this manual and master related safety precautions.
Be familiar with related safety regulations on electrical systems.
Understand the components and functioning of a grid-tied PV power system and relevant
local standards.
Wear proper PPE all the time.
Ensure that the SUN2000 is not connected to a power supply or powered on before the
installation is complete.
Ensure that the SUN2000 is installed in a ventilated environment.
Ensure that the heat sinks are free of blockage.
Do not open the front panel of the SUN2000.
Do not remove the terminals at the bottom of the SUN2000.
When installing a device, install the ground cable first. When removing a device, remove
the ground cable at last.
Do not damage the ground conductor.
Ensure that all electrical connections comply with local electrical standards.
Obtain approval from the local utility company before using the SUN2000 in grid-tied
mode.
Ensure that the cables used in a grid-tied PV power system are properly connected and
insulated and meet specifications.
