LINE Switch Before turning the mainframe on, make sure that it is grounded through the Warning protective conductor of the power cable to a socket outlet provided with protective earth contact. Any interuption of the protective grounding conductor inside or outside of the mainframe or disconnection of the protective earth terminal can result in personal injury.

Safety Considerations Before Applying Power Safety Earth Ground Any interruption of the protective (grounding) conductor (inside or outside the Warning system) or disconnecting the protective earth terminal will cause a potential shock hazard that could result in personal injury. (Grounding one conductor of a two conductor outlet is not sufficient protection.) In addition, verify that a common ground exists between the unit under test and the system prior to energizing either unit.
Page 427
Adjustments described in the manual are performed with power supplied to the (cont'd) system's instruments while protective covers are removed. Energy available at many points may, if contacted, result in personal injury. Capacitors inside the system's instruments might still be charged even if the system has been disconnected from its source of supply.
