Managing disc content (DVD+RW only)

Title settings

You can change each title on the DVD+RW to your
personal preference in the title settings menu.

Stop disc playback if necessary. In the Index Picture
Screen, select the required title with w/v (down or
up cursor.)

Press u (right cursor) to enter the title settings
menu for that title.

Use w/v (down or up cursor) to select the item
you wish to change, then follow the steps as
directed below.

Changing name of a recording

Perform steps 1, 2 and 3 as explained above.

Press u (right cursor) to select Name.

Enter the new name. A name may contain a
maximum of 64 characters.
Use t/u (left or right cursor) for the position of the
characters. Use w/v (down or up cursor) to change
characters.
Use SELECT to toggle between capital and lower
case characters.
Use CLEAR to erase a character.

Confirm by pressing OK.

Play full title

Perform steps 1, 2 and 3 as explained above.
Press u (right cursor) to select 'Play full title'.

When this item is selected, the title will be played in full,
including hidden chapters, beginning immediately.
Follow the instructions on the screen. (See 'Operation -
managing disc content - Current chapter')

Erase this title

You may simply erase a title by recording over it,
but if you want to erase the whole title instantly,
do the following:
Perform steps 1, 2 and 3 as explained above.
Press u (right cursor) to select 'Erase this title',

then press OK.
The message 'This will completely erase this
title', 'Press OK to confirm' is shown.

Press OK a second time.
'Erasing title...' is shown until the action is
completed.
After the title has been erased, the Index Picture
Screen will show an empty space instead of the
Title. If there was an empty space in front of or
behind this title, then these are combined into one
empty space. Empty spaces of less than one minute
will not be shown.

Disc Information Screen

When in the Index Picture Screen, press 9 STOP
or press and hold J PREVIOUS for about two
seconds.
This selects the first title on the DVD+RW.

Press v (up cursor.)
You enter the Disc Information Screen.

Press w (down cursor) to exit the Disc Information
Screen and return to the Index Picture Screen.
The Disc Information Screen contains the
following information:
Compatibility status
- indicates compatibility of any edits
with DVD players
Video system
- PAL or SECAM
- NTSC
Disc lock status
- Indicates whether the disc is
write-protected
- total recording duration so far
- date of last recording
