Playing in the selected mode
A-B Repeat
DVD-V
You can repeat playback of a specific segment.
Select "A-B (Set A)", and at the beginning of the
segment (point A) press the ENTER button. The on-
screen display shown below appears.
The beginning of the segment (point A) has been
memorized.
e.g.
1 Press ENTER at the end of the segment (point B).
ENTER
The player automatically returns to point A and
starts repeat playback of the selected segment
(A-B).
To resume normal playback
Press CLEAR while pressing SHIFT.
CLEAR
RETURN
SHIFT
The quick menu can also be available.
Notes
• Some discs may not permit A-B repeat operation.
• You can specify a segment only within the current title
or track.
• You cannot set the A-B repeat function for a segment
that includes multiple camera angles
• There may be a slight difference between point A and
the location where playback actually resumes,
depending on the disc.

Random playback
You can play titles, groups, chapters within a title, or
tracks in random order.
Select "Random" and press the ENTER button. The
on-screen display shown below appears.
e.g.
Chapter Random
Title Random
Random Off
1 Press / to select.

DVD-A Track Random

Group Random
VCD
Track Random

Track Random
Random Off
If you select any of the above modes during
playback, the player automatically starts random
playback after finishing the current title, group,
chapter, or track.
DVD-V DVD-A VCD CD
Plays the chapters
within the current title in
random order.
Plays the tracks within
the current group in
random order.
Plays titles in random
order.
Plays groups in random
order.
Plays tracks in random
order.
Plays tracks in random
order.
Resumes normal
playback.
