1 About This Guide Thank you for purchasing a Huawei AR series router. This guide describes how to install AR530 series routers. It also explains how to log in to your router for the first time. The installation, connection, and login methods of AR530 series industrial switching routers are similar. This document uses the AR531-F2C-H router as an example. -

5 Installing the Router Scenario 1: Mounting the Router on a DIN Rail Before You Start Before the installation, ensure that the DIN rail has been secured in position. The router is placed near the DIN rail for convenient movement. Installation Procedure Step 1 Screw lock nuts on the hex bolts and fix the hex bolts on the mounting bracket. - Page 4 Installation Procedure Step 1 Attach the mounting bracket against the wall and adjust its position to keep the top and bottom edges horizontal. 6 Connecting the Router Before You Start Do not connect cables while the power is on. Do not power on the router before you finish connecting and routing cables. Invisible laser beams will cause eye damage. Do not look into bores of optical modules or connectors of optical fibers without eye protection. - Page 7 NOTE The default user name is admin and the default password is Admin@huawei. If you forget the login password, restore the password according to the Troubleshooting. After successful login, you can configure the router on the command line interface. For more information, see the CLI-based Configuration.
- Page 8 Start the browser, enter https://192.168.1.1 in the address box, and press Enter to display the login page. Step 13 Enter the user name admin and password Admin@huawei (case sensitive).
