DANGER! Operational safety
 Only connect the kitchen radio mains plug in a power socket which is easy to access so that it can be
quickly disconnected in the event of a problem (smoke, burning smell). The mains socket used must be
easily accessible at all times.
 The kitchen radio starts consuming power as soon as it is connected to the mains. It will consume some
power even when not in use. We therefore recommend that you disconnect the kitchen radio from the
mains if you are not using it for a long time, e.g. when you leave for a holiday. This minimises the risk
of a fire or smouldering fire which is always a risk if an electrical device is connected to the mains. To
disconnect the kitchen radio completely from the mains, disconnect the power plug from the mains
socket.
 Do not use an adapter plug or extension cable which is damaged or that does not meet the required
safety standards.
 Never open the housing of the device. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
DANGER! Please heed the following:
 Do not hold the device with wet hands. There is a risk of electric shock!
 do not place any fire sources (e.g. burning candles) on or near the device.
