Using the Quick Setup Wizard

The Quick Setup Wizard allows you to configure the most common settings
that you are likely to use. For advanced configuration of your IP71, use the
IP71 GUI. You can configure the following through the Quick Setup Wizard:
Password
Date and Time
Interface

Password IP71 is shipped with a default password.
Nokia recommends that you change the
default password.
Enter the existing password (password).
Admin
Enter the new password you want to set and
confirm the new password.
Enter the default password (password).
Root
Enter the new password you want to set and
confirm the new password.
Sync Click Sync to synchronize with the date and
time of the browser
Enter Date in the Month/Date/Year order.
Date
Enter Time in Hours/ Minutes order. If you are

in America, select to adjust the clock for
Daylight savings.
GMT Offset
Select the appropriate GMT offset.
Host Name Enter a Host Name.
External WAN Select the External WAN Interface Mode, set
the LAN and WAN Interface settings based on

the WAN mode. Get this information from you
service provider.
Enter the LAN IP address and the Subnet

mask of the IP71.
