Operating the
Power-Takeoff (PTO)
Switch
The power-takeoff (PTO) switch starts and stops any
powered attachments.
Engaging the Power-Takeoff (PTO)

Note:
Engaging the power-takeoff (PTO) switch with
the throttle position at half or less causes excessive
wear to the drive belts.

Operating the Throttle

You can move the throttle control between the F
and S
positions
LOW
Always use the F
powered attachments with the power-takeoff (PTO)
switch.
Operating the Ignition

Important:
Do not engage the starter for more
than 5 seconds at a time. If the engine fails to
start, wait 15 seconds between attempts. Failure
to follow these instructions can burn out the
starter motor.
Note:
You may need to repeat the cycle for starting
the engine when you start it for the first time after you
have filled a completely empty fuel system with fuel.
