For Maintenance Personnel
When an emergency fault erupts, maintenance personnel must stay calm and locate the faulty
components or modules first, then perform maintenance. Restarting or switching the
system without examination is not allowed. Maintenance personnel must adhere to the
following rules during the troubleshooting process:
Emergency faults must be handled according to the process. All major operations must be
implemented with prior consent of the customer.






Maintenance personnel who are familiar with IRD6000's operating requirements and onsite
conditions and capable of locating and troubleshooting emergency faults are crucial to

When a fault occurs, you can contact Huawei for technical support by means of Internet or
phone calls. Table 3-3 lists the common methods of obtaining Huawei's technical support.

Restore business as soon as possible.
Collect necessary logs for further location and analysis afterwards. If log collection
conflicts with business restoration, the latter prevails.
Perform key operations with discretion to prevent the problem from aggravation.
Report the progress in a timely manner.
Keep records of detailed procedure.
Master fundamental knowledge about network equipment, operating systems, and digital
TV systems, and can utilize this knowledge to perform maintenance.
Understand the logical coherency between onsite digital TV systems, mapping of system
components and onsite devices, and physical connection between onsite devices.
Manage to determine and locate the emergency faults as well as restoring the system, and
can use these approaches to perform emergency maintenance after practice.
