Product Overview About This Document About This Document Purpose This document provides the positioning, highlights, networking schemes, features, and technical specifications of the HUAWEI TE10 videoconferencing endpoint (TE10 or endpoint for short). Intended Audience This document is intended for: End users...
1 Product Positioning Product Positioning The TE10 is an integrated high definition (HD) videoconferencing endpoint with a minimalist design. It can connect to networks over Wi-Fi and interwork with various cloud platforms. The TE10 is an innovative product that can also offer cloud services.
Product Overview 2 Product Highlights Product Highlights Interconnection with Multiple Third-Party Cloud Platforms The TE10 can interconnect with multiple third-party cloud platforms, such as the Videxio cloud videoconferencing platform (Videxio platform for short) and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). Wireless Connection The TE10 is able to: Connect to the Internet over Wi-Fi.
Page 9
The TE10 is ready for use after the power cable, video output cable, and network cable are connected. A mounting bracket is provided to allow the TE10 to be installed on the top of a TV set, on a wall, on a ceiling, or on a tripod.
You can interconnect your TE10 with the Videxio platform only after purchasing necessary cloud services from Videxio. You can interconnect your TE10 with the Videxio platform simply by clicking or selecting the activation button on the TE10 web interface or remote control UI.
The IMS integrates with the MCU to deliver HD video conferencing services. On the IMS HD convergence network, the TE10 can interconnect with the ACS to implement management functions through the TR-069 service offered by the ACS.
The TE10 can be deployed on a public or private network, while the ACS must be deployed on a public network. – If the TE10 is deployed on a public network, it can be managed by the ACS through the TR-069 protocol.
The TE10 adapts to different networks and consistently delivers optimal video quality across the IP network. 3.4 Network Containing TE Soft Clients The TE10 can work with the TE soft client after they register with the same SIP server, as shown in Figure 3-5.

Reset button. l When the TE10 is powering on, press and hold this button for 3s to reset the TE10 to the pre- installed system version. l When the TE10 is running, press and hold this button for 10s to reset the TE10 to factory settings.
5.3 Lightweight Interactive UI The TE10 adopts a flat fan-shaped design for its remote control UI. Running on Android, this UI intuitively displays menus, enabling ease of use. The remote control UI provides basic conferencing functions, such as setting up a call, adjusting the camera angle, selecting a screen layout, viewing a site, adding a site, and broadcasting a site.
The TE10 supports a conference rate of up to 2 Mbit/s that delivers industry-leading video quality. The TE10 is able to provide 720p 30 fps HD video at a bandwidth of only 384 kbit/s. In HD video conferences, the TE10 supports up to 720p 30 fps video and 1080p 5 fps or 720p 15 fps presentation in the case that presentation is shared using the AirPresence client.
Product Overview 5 Functions and Features Meanwhile, the TE10 is compatible with SD video formats, such as CIF and 4 x Common Intermediate Format (4CIF). The TE10 is able to transmit video and presentation in both P2P conferences and multipoint conferences.
The USB device that contains the configuration files can be obtained from agents or carriers. When the configuration files are imported to the TE10 from the USB device, all configuration data is loaded automatically. 5.11 Network Address Book The network address book stores all site information.
If the network address book is stored on an LDAP server, the TE10 searches the LDAP server for site information, and adds the site information to its local address book. You can specify whether to overwrite the site information in the local address book if the site information on the LDAP server is the same as the information in the local address book.

5 Functions and Features Figure 5-3 Security networking On this network, the TE10 is connected to the Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) through the private network, which connects to different networks through different ports. The TE10 on the private or public network can join the conference even if the firewall settings (such as enabled ports) are not changed.

Web Request Authentication When a user requests access to a specified web page or submits a servlet request, the TE10 checks whether the user's session identifier is valid and whether the user is authorized to perform the operation. The server implements the final authentication on the user.
Figure 6-1 Home screen of the remote control UI 6.2 Using the Web Interface The TE10 also has a web interface, on which you can execute tasks such as placing a call, controlling a conference, storing the address book, modifying system settings, and downloading the AirPresence client.
User operations and system abnormalities are logged, which help the system administrator maintain the system and locate faults. Logs are stored as files on the TE10. On its web interface, the system administrator can query, export, or delete the logs of a specified time frame or all the logs.
