When removing and fitting the seal 6
for the blade assembly 7, be careful not
to injure yourself on the blades.
Removing the blender jug
1. Rotate the blender jug 5 anticlockwise
slightly, and lift it off upwards.
2. Replace the cover 8.
Removing the lid of the blender

3. Rotate the lid 2 anticlockwise until you
can remove it.
4. Rotate the lid of the refill opening 1 anti-
clockwise and remove it.
Blade assembly
5. Remove the blade assembly 7 from the
blender jug 5 (see "Using and remov-
ing the blade assembly" on page 39).
6. Pull the seal 6 carefully off the blade as-
sembly 7.
7. Carefully replace the cleaned seal 6.
8. Before using the device again, reinsert
the blade assembly 7.

11. Cleaning and
servicing the device
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
Disconnect the mains plug 14 from the
wall socket before each cleaning.
Never immerse the base unit 17 in wa-
ter.
DANGER! Risk of injury from
cutting!
Please remember that the blades of the
blade assembly 7 are very sharp. Nev-
er touch the blades with your bare
hands in order to avoid cuts.
Before removing the blade assembly 7,
rinse the blender jug 5 with water and
remove scraps of food from the blades
so that the blade assembly 7 can be re-
moved safely.
When washing manually, the water
should be sufficiently clear so that you
can see the blade assembly 7 easily to
avoid injuries caused by the very sharp
blades.
WARNING! Risk of material dam-
age!
Never use any abrasive, corrosive or
scouring cleaning agents. These might
damage the device.
The beater 20 and dough hook 22
have a non-stick coating. Do not dam-
age them with sharp, pointed or scratch-
ing objects (e.g. knife, pot sponge).
NOTE: certain foods or spices (e.g. curry,
carrots) can discolour the plastic (e.g. the
splash guard 18 or the lid of the refill open-
ing 1). This is not a device error and is
harmless to health.
