Resistance control and replacing of heating
element
·
Controll the resistant with the multimeter.
·
The heating element for 50,100 and 150 litre boiling
pans have an rated effect of 7,5 kW, which is equiva-
lent to approx. 21 Ohms per each heating loop at
3x400V/3x230V and 25 Ohms per each heating loop
at 3x440V connected voltage.
·
The heatng element for 200 and 300 litre boiling pans
have an rated effect of 12,5 kW, which is equivalent
to approx. 13 Ohms per each heating loop at 3x400V
or 3x230V and 15 Ohms per each heating loop at
3x440V connected voltage.
·
When fitting 50,100 and 150 litres heating element
the screws have to be tightened that the whole surfa-
ce of the element flange touches the vessel. It is im-
portant to ensure that the O-ring does not leak.
The O-ring must be replaced each time the heating
elements has been removed or replaced.
NOTE: It is important that the heating elements are
mounted as shown in the pictures beside. See Fig.
7A-7C.
·
When fitting 200 or 300 litres heating element the
screws should be set to a torque of 20 Nm. It is im-
portant to ensure that the packing does not leak. The
packing should be compressed by about 30% of its
thickness: about 1 mm.
Fitting the food temperature sensor
The food temperature sensor is fitted towards the inner
vessel. To obtain a god transmission level of the food
temperature, silicon lubricant is pressed between the
sensor and the inner vessel. The sensor has fine
threads and has to be mounted with care. If the sensor
is tightened too hard it might cause damage the inner
vessel by making a buckle in the metal sheet. the
sensor is fitted with Loctite threadlocker type 542 and
Activator type 7240.
Calibrate allways after changing sensors.(se sida 8)
Connecting of screened cable
Note! Generally when connecting screened cables, it is
important that the connection performs correctly. The EMC
approvment demands such performance.
·
Unsheath the cable approx. 15 mm.
·
Fitt the sleeve, ring and the rubber sealing.
·
Press the unseathed part of the cable to a crimp over
around the cable.
·
Fitt the second ring under the crimp over part.
·
Fitt together the sleeve and the cable inside the sea-
ling and tighten.
Note! The crimp over should be between the sealing and
the ring to make a 360°:s screening.
