Lock Commands

Locking a Monitor
Monitors that are locked can not be manually
switched except by the user who created the lock or
by those users with a higher priority. Note that if a
user with a higher priority accesses a locked monitor
and switches to a different camera, the lock will
automatically be removed. Perform the following
steps to 'lock' a monitor:
1. Press MONITOR.
2. If the monitor to be locked is not the one
currently 'connected' to the keyboard, enter the
monitor number using the numeric keypad (do
NOT press ENTER).
3. Press LOCK.
4. Press ON. The locked monitor status display will

show the "
" prompt to indicate that this monitor

is locked.
EXAMPLE: MONITOR 2 LOCK ON
The above steps will lock monitor number 2.
Unlocking a Monitor
Locked monitors can be unlocked by the user who
locked it or by users with a higher priority. Perform
the following steps to unlock a monitor:
1. Press MONITOR.
2. If the monitor to be unlocked is not the one
currently 'connected' to the keyboard, enter the
monitor number using the numeric keypad (do
NOT press ENTER).
3. Press LOCK.
4. Press OFF.
EXAMPLE: MONITOR 2 LOCK OFF
The above steps will unlock monitor number 2.
Locking a Remote Device
Locking a remote device stops unauthorized users
from controlling any of the receiver/driver functions
associated with that camera. Remote devices that
are locked can only be controlled by the user who
locked it or by those users with a higher priority.
Perform the following steps to lock a remote device:
1. If the remote device number (camera number) is
not the one currently being 'controlled' by the
keyboard, enter the number using the numeric
keypad (do NOT press ENTER).
2. Press LOCK.
3. Press ON. When viewing the locked camera, the
monitor status display will show the "
to indicate that this camera's remote device is
locked.
EXAMPLE: 2 LOCK ON
This example will lock the remote control capability
on camera number 2.
Unlocking a Remote Device
Locked devices can be unlocked by the user who
locked it or by operators with a higher priority.
Perform the following steps to unlock a remote
device:
1. Key into the numeric pad the number of the
remote device (camera number) to be unlocked
(do NOT press ENTER).
2. Press LOCK.
3. Press OFF.
EXAMPLE: 2 LOCK OFF
This example will unlock remote device number 2,
permitting control over the camera's receiver/driver
functions by all users.
