    This document describes how to upgrade your Dell™ PowerVault™ 530F system software from version 1.2x or 1.32 to version 1.35. The system software includes the PowerVault 530F internal code and any application and customization that Dell performs. Before You Begin Before beginning the software upgrade procedure, ensure that you have the following items: •...
  • Page 4 If the PowerVault 530F is part of a redundant pair, run the dumpall.exe utility again, specifying the failover node. Compare the two text files generated by the dumpall.exe utility for both PowerVault530F nodes. In the logical unit number (LUN) section, compare the LUN numbering and the Max Block Size parameters for each LUN to confirm that the configuration information for the two nodes is identical.

  • Page 6 Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any additional PowerVault 530F systems. If you do not have a keyboard and monitor attached to the PowerVault 530F and you are using VNC to complete the remaining configuration changes, you must temporarily change the network settings on the system you are using for VNC access.
  • Page 7 From the PowerVault 530F main menu, click System Settings, and then click Network Properties. Click the Change box, enter the name for this PowerVault 530F in the Computer Name field, and then click OK to save the settings. Click the Protocols tab, and then click Properties.
