Adding the Trigger Input Pod

If you have ordered the 8-line Trigger Input Pod E4805A Option 002 separately, you need to
install it into the HP81200 System.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites for this installation are:
• an HP E4805A Central Clock Module, the serial number of this module must be higher than
• the HP E4873A User Software Revision 2.0 or higher
• a flat screw driver and a TORX No.362 screw driver

Installing the Trigger Input Pod

To connect the Trigger input pod, it is necessary to unplug the E4805A module from the
mainframe, to open the module and to plug the pod cable into the board.
1. Switch off the system and disconnect the power cord
2. Disconnect all cables from the E4805A Central Clock Module. If necessary, mark the cables
3. Remove the E4805A Central Clock Module from the mainframe
4. Unscrew the 7 screws to open the side panel of the module using a TORX screw driver
