Access Level

According to the user classification, there are three access levels to operate the system.
Access Level 1
By a member of the general public or persons with a general responsibility for safety
supervision who might be expected to investigate and initially respond to a fire alarm or a
fault warning.
Access Level 2:
By persons having a specific responsibility for safety and who are trained and authorized
to operate the VACIE in the:
- Quiescent condition
- Voice alarm output condition
- Fault warning condition
- Disablement condition
Access Level 3
By persons who are trained and authorized:
- To reconfigure the site-specific data held within the controller or controlled by it (e.g.
labelling, zoning, alarm organization)
- To store and change emergency tones and messages
- To maintain the VACIE in accordance with the manufacturer's published instructions and
data
Access Level 4
By persons who are trained and authorized by the manufacturer to either repair the system
or upgrade the firmware, thereby changing its basic mode of operation.
The users of access level 1 can supervise the system status directly via the indicators without special
operation.
If users of access level 2 need to access the operation, use the keys to open the doors of the racks
first, then operate the system from the front panel. If they want to operate the remote call station
outside of the rack, the device must be unlocked by pressing the buttons.
If users of access level 3 need to reconfigure the system and change the settings, they need to input
the password to enter the menu or configure the system via the INTEVIO configuration tool.
If users of access level 4 need to repair the system, they need to open the rack using a key and
screwdriver and use a special software tool to upgrade the firmware.
