6.2 Styling

NOTE: the hair must never be dripping wet.
You can style dry or slightly damp hair. The
strands of hair must not be too thick. Make
sure that the hair is not in contact with the
hot surfaces of the Hair Styler for too long.
Volumising
1. Comb or brush your hair thoroughly.
Ensure that there are no knots in your
hair.
2. Figure B: separate off one strand of
hair.
3. Begin with the lower sections of the
hair. Curl the strand lightly into the
round brush|1.
NOTE: for other effects you can also place
the strands vertically around the round brush
or only curl-in the tips briefly.
4. Maintain this position for approximate-
ly 10 seconds.
5. Pull the round brush|1 downwards to
remove it. If necessary, press and hold
down the release button|8 to release
the round brush.
TIP: to fix the volume in place, please use a
hair dryer with a cold air function. Press the
cold air button and apply a cold jet of air to
the section of hair that has just been treated.
Waves / Curls
1. Comb or brush your hair thoroughly.
Ensure that there are no knots in your
hair.
2. Separate off one strand of hair.
3. Figure C: curl the strand of hair over
the round brush|1 up to the tips of the
hair.
4. Maintain this position for approximate-
ly 15-20 seconds.
5. Press and hold down the release but-
ton|8 in order to release the round
brush|1.
6. Pull off the round brush|1.
6.3 Switching off
automatically
The device is secured against unintentional
continuous operation by means of an auto-
matic switch-off function.
After 30 minutes of operation on heating lev-
el 1 or 2 the device will switch off automati-
cally. After 25 minutes, flashing LEDs remind
the user of the automatic switch-off function.
In order to use the device again, turn the
on/off switch/temperature controller|2 once
to 0 and then to one of the two heating lev-
els.
7. Cleaning and
storage
DANGER! Risk of injury
through burning/scalding!
~ Do not touch the hot strips of the round
brush|1.
~ Allow the device to cool down com-
pletely before you transport or clean it
or place it in the carrier case.
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
~ Before cleaning the device, remove the
mains plug|6 from the socket.
CAUTION:
~ Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.
In order to ensure the correct functioning
and top performance of your Hair Styler,
please clean the device regularly. You
