Camera problems

The camera has no power
Cause
Is the battery installed
correctly? Does it need to be
recharged or replaced?
Is the camera turned on?
Is the mode dial turned
completely to a mode?
The camera does not take a photo after you press the shutter button
Cause
Is the power switched on?
What to do
Check the battery, and recharge or replace it if necessary.
See "Charging the Battery" on page 17 or "Replacing the Battery"
on page 18 for details.
The camera may have shut off automatically to save battery
power. Press the POWER button to turn on the camera.
Turn the mode dial to exactly the mode you want and press the
POWER button.
What to do
See "The camera has no power," above, and check the camera.
