8. Disconnect fuel line from injection pump (Fig. 12).
Cap fuel line and injector pump fuel inlet to prevent con-
tamination.
9. Disconnect throttle cable from the speed control le-
ver by removing the washer and lock nut. Loosen jam
nut and take cable from mounting bracket (Fig. 12).
10.Remove coolant reservoir and bracket from fan
shroud.
11. Remove four flange head screws and flat washers
securing the fan shroud to the radiator.
12.Disconnect two wires from neutral switch on hydrau-
lic traction pump.
IMPORTANT: Support hydraulic pump assembly to
prevent it from falling and being damaged.
13.Remove hydraulic pump assembly from engine (see
Pump Assembly in Chapter 4 − Hydraulic Systems).
14.Make sure all cable ties securing the wiring harness,
fuel lines, or hydraulic hoses to the engine are removed.
15.Connect hoist or lift to the front and rear lift tabs on
engine.
16.Remove flange head locking nuts, rebound washers,
and cap screws securing the engine brackets to the en-
gine mounts.
CAUTION
One person should operate lift or hoist while the
other person guides the engine out of the ma-
chine.
IMPORTANT: Make sure not to damage the engine,
fuel and hydraulic lines, electrical harness, or other
parts while removing the engine.
17.Slowly remove engine from the machine.
18.If necessary, remove engine mount brackets from
the engine using Figure 10 as a guide. Note cap screw
length and position during removal.
