Important
Check level of oil every 8 operating hours
or daily. Change oil and filter initially after the first 50
hours of operation, thereafter, change oil and filter
every 100 hours. However, change oil more frequently
when engine is operated in extremely dusty or dirty
conditions.
Note: After filling or changing oil, start and run the engine
at idle for 30 seconds. Shut engine off. Wait 30 seconds and
check oil level. Add enough oil to raise level to FULL mark
on dipstick.

Fill Fuel Tank

Fuel tank capacity is approximately 7 gallons.
The Toro Company Strongly Recommends The Use Of
Fresh, Clean, Unleaded Regular Grade Gasoline In
Toro Gasoline Powered Products. Unleaded Gasoline
Burns Cleaner, Extends Engine Life, And Promotes
Good Starting By Reducing The Build–up of
Combustion Chamber Deposits. Minimum Octane
Rating of 87.
Note: Never Use Methanol, Gasoline Containing
Methanol, Gasoline Containing More Than 10%
Ethanol, Gasoline Additives, or White Gas Because
Engine Fuel System Damage Could Result.
1. Clean area around fuel tank cap.
2. Remove fuel tank cap.
Danger
Under certain conditions, diesel fuel and fuel
vapors are highly flammable and explosive. A fire
or explosion from fuel can burn you and others
and can cause property damage.
• Use a funnel and fill the fuel tank outdoors, in
an open area, when the engine is off and is cold.
Wipe up any fuel that spills.
• Do not fill the fuel tank completely full. Add fuel
to the fuel tank until the level is 1/4 to 1/2 in. (6
to 13 mm) below the bottom of the filler neck.
This empty space in the tank allows the fuel to
expand.
• Never smoke when handling fuel, and stay away
from an open flame or where fuel fumes may be
ignited by a spark.
• Store fuel in a clean, safety-approved container
and keep the cap in place.
3. Fill tank to about one inch below top of tank, (bottom of
filler neck). DO NOT OVERFILL. Then install cap.
4. Wipe up any fuel that may have spilled to prevent a fire
hazard.
