3.3.2 FTP Access via Internet Explorer

Note. Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later is required for
FTP access via Internet Explorer.
Before data can be accessed via FTP, Internet Explorer must be
configured with the appropriate options.
To ensure that the latest data file is copied, Internet Explorer
must be set to check for newer versions of stored pages on
every visit to a page. If this check is not performed, the browser
may use data stored in the cache of the local PC rather than
retrieve the current data over the network from the remote
device.
1. From the Internet Explorer 'Tools' menu select 'Internet
Options'.
2. In the 'General' tab of the displayed dialog box, click the
Settings button in the 'Temporary Internet Files' grouping.
3. From the options for 'Check for newer versions of stored
pages:', select 'Every visit to the page' and click 'OK'.
To enable FTP access:
Select the 'Advanced' tab of the 'Internet Options' dialog
box, ensure that the 'Enable folder view for FTP sites
option' under the 'Browsing' heading is selected and click
'OK'*.

accessible only if archiving is set to 'On-line' in the
instrument's Setup menu – see Section 3.3 of the
relevant User Guide (IM/SM1000 or IM/SM2000).
