An ordinary 24 V power supply unit can be used
An isolated power supply unit has to be used, as pin 2 is internally
connected with the housing.
If the voltage supply is interrupted, it has to remain interrupted for
at least 15 s. This ensures a safe initialization of the USB devices
on the VDP when the power is switched on again.
There are two possibilities to connect the external VDP 92.3 operator display
to the 24 V supply voltage:
● Connection to the 24 V Out of the external UPS (if available).
For this variant, the display and the control cabinet PC are switched off at
the same time by the UPS. The user can carry out actions manually when
there is a power failure of 24 V or the control cabinet PC is switched off
while the PC is shut down.
● Direct connection to the 24 V supply voltage.
If there is no supply voltage of 24 V, the operator display becomes dark
immediately. The user is not able to execute any actions via the operator
display during the shutdown of the control cabinet PC.

The devices are provided with the following USB interfaces.
● four USB interfaces at the connector panel: XUSB1/2 and XUSB3/4
● one USB interface on the front panel (depending on the variant)
The maximum power consumption of one USB plug must not ex‐
ceed 500 mA. The total current of all female USB connectors must
not exceed 1 A.
