Problem
You have connected an external keyboard or a
mouse and it seems to locking up the system.
You have connected an external monitor and it
does not come on.

Possible Cause
1. The operating system software is not setup
with the correct software driver for that device.

external monitor.
2. The external monitor is not properly
installed.
3. The operating system software is not setup
with the correct software driver for that device.
4. The external monitor is not compatible with
your notebook.
Possible Solution
1. Check the device and operating system docu-
mentation and activate the proper driver.
1. Try toggling the video destination by press-
ing Fn and F10 together or check the BIOS
Setup and enable the external monitor. (See the
Video Features Submenu of the Advanced Menu
on page 64.)
2. Reinstall the device. (See Installing an
External Monitor on page 86.)
3. Check the device and operating system
documentation and activate the proper driver.
