Setting Covert Mode

NOTE: This is a Software Selling Feature.
Covert Mode enables you to completely shut down all visible and audible alerts and notifications,
making the radio unnoticeable even in a silent and dark environment.

Activating Covert Mode

Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 Select Security→Covert Mode.
3 Select one of the following options:

TMSCK is Valid – The radio can work encrypted in
TMO.
TMSCK is Invalid – The radio cannot work encrypted
in TMO. Contact your service provider to restore SCKs to
your radio.
Your radio displays:
DMSCK is Valid – The radio can work encrypted in
DMO.
DMSCK is Invalid – The radio cannot work encrypted
in DMO. Please contact your service provider to restore
SCKs to your radio.
IMPORTANT: Changing this setting may cause ra-
dios not to operate correctly.
a Press Next.
b Select one of the following options:
Yes – To change the key.
No – To leave the key.
Description
All tones are set to off.
Backlight and the LED are disabled immediately
Group audio is routed to the earpiece.
Your radio displays: Covert Mode On.
All settings for tones, backlight and audio are restored.
Your radio displays: Covert Mode Off.
