CARE AND CLEANING

GLASS COOKTOP

Normal Daily Use Cleaning
ONLY use ceramic cookt op cleaner on t he glass cookt op.
Ot her creams may not be as effect ive.
To maint ain and prot ect t he surface of your glass cookt op,
follow t hese st eps:
1.
Before using t he cookt op for t he first t ime, clean it wit h
ceramic cookt op cleaner. This helps prot ect t he t op and
makes cleanup easier.

Shake t he cleaning cream well.
Apply a few drops of ceramic
cookt op cleaner direct ly t o t he
cookt op.
4.
Use a paper t owel or non-
scrat ch cleaning pad for ceramic
cookt ops t o clean t he ent ire
cookt op surface.
5.
Use a dry clot h or paper t owel t o
remove all cleaning residue. No
need t o rinse.
NOTE: It is very import ant t hat you
DO NOT heat t he cookt op unt il it has
been cleaned t horoughly.
Burned- On Residue
NOTE: DAMAGE t o your glass surface may occur if you use
scrub pads ot her t han t hose recommended.

Allow t he cookt op t o cool.
2.
Spread a few drops of ceramic cookt op cleaner on t he
ent ire burned residue area.
3.
Using a cleaning pad for ceramic cookt ops, rub t he
residue area, applying pressure as needed.
4.
If any residue remains, repeat t he st eps list ed above as
needed.
5.
For addit ional prot ect ion, aft er all residue has been
removed, polish t he ent ire surface wit h ceramic cookt op
cleaner and a paper t owel.
Use a non- scrat ch cleaning pad for ceramic cookt ops.

NOTE: Carefully check t he bot t om of pans for roughness
t hat would scrat ch t he cookt op.

Allow t he cookt op t o cool.
Use a single- edge razor blade scraper at approximat ely a
45° angle against t he glass surface and scrape t he soil. It
will be necessary t o apply pressure t o t he razor scraper
in order t o remove t he residue.
Aft er scraping wit h t he razor scraper, spread a few drops
of ceramic cookt op cleaner on t he ent ire burned residue
area. Use a non- scrat ch cleaning pad t o remove any
remaining residue.
For addit ional prot ect ion, aft er all residue has been
removed, polish t he ent ire surface wit h ceramic cookt op
cleaner and a paper t owel.
The ceramic cookt op scraper and all recommended supplies
are available t hrough our Part s Cent er. See t he Accessories and
Consumer Support sect ions at t he end of t his manual.
NOTE: Do not use a dull or nicked blade.
Be careful not t o slide pot s and pans across your cookt op.
It will leave met al markings on t he cookt op surface.
These marks are removable using t he ceramic cookt op
cleaner wit h a non- scrat ch cleaning pad for ceramic
cookt ops.
If pot s wit h a t hin overlay of aluminum or copper
are allowed t o boil dry, t he overlay may leave black
discolorat ion on t he cookt op.
This should be removed immediat ely before heat ing
again or t he discolorat ion may be permanent .
Be careful not t o place aluminum baking sheet s or
aluminum frozen ent rée cont ainers on a hot cookt op
surface. It will leave shinny dot s or markings on t he
cookt op surface. These markings are permanent and
cannot be cleaned off.
