    Locating Your SIM Card Your SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card is a small piece of plastic located in the SIM card holder in the back of your phone, underneath the battery. If your SIM card is not in the SIM card holder, it may be in the box your phone came in, attached to a piece of plastic about the size of a credit card.

    Call Alerts Sending a call alert lets the recipient know you want to talk to him or her on an Instant LINC call. When you send a call alert, the recipient’s phone emits a series of beeps, or vibrates, and displays your name or LINC ID.

    Call Forwarding Call forwarding sends calls to the phone numbers you specify. You can forward all calls to one number or forward missed calls to different numbers depending on the reason you missed the call. You can forward phone lines 1 and 2 independently.

    GPS Enabled Your phone’s GPS Enabled feature uses information from Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites orbiting the Earth to determine the approximate geographical location of your phone, expressed as latitude and longitude. The availability and accuracy of this location information (and the amount of time that it takes to calculate it) will vary depending on the environment in which you are using the GPS feature.

    GPS Enabled GPS satellite signals and network assist data, it may take 30 seconds or more to determine the approximate location. This time will increase where there is reduced access to satellite signals. When your approximate location is determined, it is made available to the appropriate emergency response center.

    • The number of satellites used to calculate the location. In general, more satellites make for better accuracy. To calculate your location again: Press A under Rfrsh. It may take your phone several minutes to complete the process of determining your location.     GPS Enabled When you receive your phone, the GPS security feature is turned off, so you do not have to enter a GPS PIN to access your GPS privacy options. If you turn this feature on, you will be required to enter a GPS PIN to access your GPS privacy options.
