Camera Properties buttons and controls

CAMERA NAME
• Enter a name for the selected camera (up to 30 characters). The camera name will be used to identify the selected camera in the Device Overview,
Archives, Event Log, and other screens.
QUIET PERIOD BEFORE REARMING
• This option only appears if the camera has a built-in motion sensor.
• The quiet period is the length of time (in seconds) after the motion sensor, built into this camera, is triggered, before the sensor can be triggered
again. Click on the down arrow and select from the list.
CAPTURE VIDEO CLIP LENGTH
• Choose the length (in seconds) of video clip to record when the quick video capture button is clicked or when the capture video event action is invoked
for this camera when a sensor is triggered. Click on the down arrow and select from the list.
BRIGHTNESS
• Adjustment for image brightness. The default value is 55. Choose a higher number to increase the image brightness. A lower number will reduce the
brightness. To see the effect of this adjustment, click on the OK button and watch the change in the live camera view.
CONTRAST
• Adjustment for image contrast. The default value is 60. Choose a higher number to increase the contrast between light and dark areas in the image. A
lower number will reduce the contrast. To see the effect of this adjustment, click on the OK button and watch the change in the live camera view.
QUALITY
• Adjustment for image quality. The default value is 75. Selecting a higher number captures images with higher quality, which also increases the
storage size (on your hard disk) required for each captured image. A lower number uses more image compression, which reduces the size of captured
images by reducing the amount of image detail. The result of changing image quality can be observed in captured images and videos, however the
effect can not be previewed in the live camera view.
CAPTION (Winodws 2000 only)
• 'On' causes the caption to be overlaid on the live camera view and on captured images and video clips for this camera. 'Off' turns off the caption
display.
