3-1. Preparation
Required equipment/tools
. Personal computer (PC):
. USB memory FAT 32 format 1 GB or more
. XSP board (A-1869-862-A):
. SH connector assembly (1-970-108-11): XSP connection
. USB cable:
. GT_Flash_Writer_v0.03.exe:
Perform the following steps 1 to 3 when the writing of Flash Data with USB in Section 3-2 is not per-
formed normally.
Usually, Flash Data is also automatically written during the firmware update in Section 3-2.
1. Install the application software "Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 or later" on PC.
2. Install the driver of USB-UART conversion device (FT2232D) used in the XSP board on PC.
3. Write "FT2232D_VW1000ES.xml" in EEPROM of the XSP board using "FT_Prog". The device
setting is changed by this procedure.
4. Pull out the AC plug of this unit.
5. Connect the XSP board, PC and USB memory to this unit referring to the connection diagram.
Regarding how to obtain "FT2232D_VW1000ES.xml", each application, version upgrade file and driver,
contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
