■ Detailed information
• This function is used with heat pump and heat recovery.
*Note : The amount of refrigerant that can be pumped out is limited by the amount of refrigerant that
can be stored in the outdoor unit and additional refrigerant storage containers may need to
be used. The maximum amount of refrigerant for Multi V 5 is size dependent and varies be-
tween 14.3 and 37.5 lbs / frame. If the system charge is greater than the volume that can be
stored, a supplemental storage device will be required to totally evacuate the system.
· Use pump down function within guaranteed temperature range.
- IDU : 20~32℃ [68~89.6℉] / ODU : 5~40℃ [41~104℉]
· Make certain that IDU doesn't run with thermo off mode during operation.
· Maximum operation time of pump down function is 30 min. (in case low pressure doesn't go down)

Setting method
Close liquid service valve of each unit.
Refer the right side figures of this page
and open the proper valve by each system.
