5-2-3. Two Tone System
If your radio contains the optional two-tone unit, and the programmed two-tone
matches, the display shows CA, and а receiving tone is output from the
speaker. To reset, set the microphone offhook, then onhook again. The Horn
Alert system is alternately set and canceled each time the AUX key is
depressed. When the system is on, НА appears on the LCD.
5-2-4. DTMF System
If your radio contains the optional DTMF unit, and the programmed DTMF code
matches, the display shows СА, and an alert tone and a receiving tone аге
output from the speaker.
The alert tone stops when the microphone is set offhook. To reset, set the
microphone onhook again. The Horn Alert system is alternately set and
canceled each time the AUX key is depressed. When the system is on, HA
appears on the LCD.
5-3.
TRANSMIT
Calling another station on your KENWOOD radio is very simple:
First, press the monitor key ON, and listen for а few seconds to make certain
the channel is not being used.
Now, hold the microphone about one and one half inches from your lips,
squeeze the PTT (Push-To-Talk) switch, and speak in your normal speaking
voice.
The TX indicator will display during transmission. When you are through
speaking, release the PTT switch, and you are automatically back in the receive
mode. When your conversation is completed, place the microphone back on its
hook.
Notes
1. Do not press REC key during play back.
2. To stop play back operation or recording operation, please be sure to
press AUX key.
