a record
(to later programs). The cartridge can move
until the key is released, and after once stopping there, it
moves
down
to the record
if the play/cut
key pushed.
Playing will! begin from there.
To skip the music in play and listen to the next program,
push the cartridge forward key during play. The cartridge
(stylus
tip) will
come
off the record
and move
to the
beginning of the next program and begin playing automatic-
ally from
there.
If you
continue
to push the cartridge
forward
key at the time, the forward APSS operates from
the location where your finger was removed and moves the
cartridge to the beginning of the track you want to listen to
and start playing automatically from there.
Also
when
the cartridge
forward
key
is pushed
during
APMS
operation,
the cartridge
moves up the record and
skips forwardly to the beginning of the next program and
cancelled by pushing the key again.
10. APMS clear key
Enables to clear the conditions preset for APMS operation.
11. Loading key
Enables to open or close the turntable chassis: it is possible
even when the chassis is opening or closing.
SENSOR
SECTION
1. Turntable chassis open/close sensor
There
are
two
skeleton
switches to detect
whether
the
chassis is opened or closed in the following way:
With the chassis closed, the skeleton switch SW205 turns on
while the skeleton switch SW204 turns off.
With the chassis opened, the switch SW205 turns off while
the switch SW204 turns on.
2. Tonearm rest position sensor
starts playing from there.
Cartridge reverse key
Enables to move the cartridge toward the optional portion
3
on a record (to previous programs). The cartridge can move
until the key is released, and after once stopping there, it
moves
down
to the record
if the play/cut key is pushed.
Playing will begin from there.
The
reverse
APSS
operation
is the same
as the forward
APSS
operation
mentioned
above
with the only dif-
ference about the direction of locating the beginning of the
program you want to listen to.
Also when the cartridge reverse key is pushed during APMS
operation,
the
cartridge
moves
up the record
and skips
reversely
to the beginning
of the previous
program
and
starts playing from there.
Repeat play key
Enables to repeat play of side A or side B. The repeat play
The
photointerrupter
detects
that the tonearm
is at its
position (at right for side A, at left for side B).
. Tonearm position sensor
When the tonearm is out of its rest position, the gear drum
and photointerrupter operate together to produce pulses to
detect how far from
the rest position the tonearm
is situ-
ated.
