6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or
after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in
any manner. Return appliance to the nearest Authorized
Service Facility for examination, repair, or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
7. The use of accessories/attachments not recommended or sold
by KitchenAid may cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to
persons.
8. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
9. Do not let Power Cord hang over edge of table or counter, or
touch hot surfaces, including the top of the Grain and Rice
Cooker.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
11. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing other hot liquids.
12. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug the Power Cord
into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the appliance off (O)
then unplug from the wall outlet.
13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
14. Turn the appliance off (O), then unplug from the outlet when
not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and
before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the
outlet. Never pull from the Power Cord.
15. Make sure the switch located on the left hand side of the Grain
and Rice Cooker is in the ON (I) position.
16. This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge. Close supervision is necessary
when any appliance is used near children. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
The appliance and cord should be out of reach of children.
17. WARNING: Spilled food can cause serious burns. Keep
appliance and cord away from children. Never drape cord over
edge of counter, never use outlet below counter, and never use
with an extension cord.
18. Steaming coming from a Steam Vent can cause burns.
19. If the bowl is overfilled and the maximum capacity is bypassed,
boiling water may be ejected.
