OPERATIONS
1. Record size setting

Leaf switch A closes and then opens immediate-
(1) Set the record size selector to the prescribed size
(30, 25, 17).
(2) Move the size wire and the rotation position of
the select cam is set.
. Auto-in operation
{1} The
power
indicator
lights when
the
power
switch is set to ON.
(2) The platter starts rotating when
the start/cut
button is depressed.
(3) The arm
drive motor starts to rotate, and the
drive cam starts to rotate via the belt, worm and
idle gear.
Leaf switches A and B open in that order.
The lift cam is rotated by the slanting surface of
the drive cam, the push rod and arm guide rise
and the tone arm is pushed up.
Leaf switch A closes and then opens immediate-
ly.
(7} The S lever rotates and the select cam rotates to
the inside via the select spring.
(8) Leaf switch B closes.
(9) The feed tab touches the follow-up lever and is
inverted by 90°.

(10} Leaf switch B opens.
(11) The feed tab touches the R section of the unit
plate and is again inverted by 90°.
(12) Leaf switch B closes (reverse rotation signal of
arm drive motor).
(13) The arm drive motor rotates in reverse and the
drive cam also starts to rotate in reverse.
(14) Leaf switch B opens.
(15} The feed tab touches the follow-up lever and the
tone arm moves inside.
(16) The follow-up lever touches the stepped section
of the select cam and the tone arm stops mov-
ing.
(17)The feed tab is inverted 90° by the follow-up
lever.
(18) The S lever rotates and the select cam rotates to
the outside via the select spring.
(19) The feed tab touches the R section of the unit
plate and is again inverted by 90°.
(20) Leaf switch A closes and then opens immediate-
ly.
(21) The lift cam rotates, the push rod and arm guide
descend,
and the tone arm descends
onto the
record.
(22) Leaf switches A and B close.
(23) The arm drive motor and drive cam stop.
. Auto-return
(1) The stylus proceeds to the inner circumference
of the
record
and
then
enters
the
lead-out
groove.
The shutter section for the follow-up lever return
cuts between
the LED (light source) and CdS
(light sensor),
and the speed detection circuit
goes to ON.
The arm drive motor rotates and the drive cam
starts to rotate via the belt worm and idle gear.
(4) Leaf switches A and B open in that order.
The lift cam is rotated by the slanting surface of
the drive cam, the push rod and arm guide rise,
and the tone arm is pushed up.

The feed tab touches the follow-up lever and the
tone arm returns in the direction of the arm rest.
The shutter section for the follow-up lever return
cuts between the LED and CdS (arm switch), the
arm switch circuit is activated and the DD motor
drive circuit goes to OFF (platter stops).
The tone arm
returns to the arm
rest and the
tone arm stops.
(10) Leaf switch B closes (reverse rotation signal of
arm drive motor).
(11) The arm
drive
motor
and
drive cam
rotate
in
reverse.
(12) Leaf switch B opens.
(13) Leaf switch A closes and then opens immediate-
ly.
(14) The lift cam
rotates, and the push rod and arm
guide descend.
(15) Leaf switches A and B close.
(16) The arm drive motor and drive cam stop.

. Auto-cut
(1)
Depress the start/cut button.
(2) Refer

return.
. Auto-repeat
(1) Set the repeat button to ON.
(2) Refer to steps (2) through (23} for the auto-in.
(3) Once play has finished, the auto-return

(2) operations are peformed.
(4) Refer to steps (3) through (23) for the auto-in.

6. Arm lifter operation
(1)

Set the arm lifter button to UP.
Refer to steps (3) through (5) for the auto in. (In
this case,
leaf switch
B opens
and
the return
detection circuit does not operate.)
The leaf switch A closes (stop signal of arm drive
motor).
The arm drive motor and drive cam stop rotating
(arm lifter is at UP).
Set the arm lifter button to DOWN.
(6) The arm drive motor and drive cam start to rotate
in reverse.
Leaf switch A opens.
The lift cam rotates, the push rod and arm guide
descend, and the tone arm descends.
Leaf switches A and B close.
(As soon
as
leaf switch
B closes,
the
return
detection circuit is activated).
(10) The arm drive motor and drive cam
stop (arm
lifter is at DOWN).

. Manual
(1) Operations (1) through (4) for the arm lifter are
performed and the arm lifter is set to UP.
(2) Move the tone arm by hand to the desired posi-
tion on the record.
(3) Operations (5) through (10) for the arm lifter are
performed,
the arm
lifter is set to DOWN
and
play begins.
