Macro Filmmaking
A macro mechanism is b uil t in to the lens of your
Scoopic 16M to film subject s at c loser than the normal
minimum focusing dist ance of 1.1 meters (3' 7
5 /'6 ").
T urn the macro ring clockwise whi le depress ing the
lock button. When the focus ring is set at the close
distance and the macro ring is fully turned clockwise,
close-ups are possible to 80m m (3';' ") wide-a ngle and
750mm (2'5' /2 ") telephoto.
Multi-point Focus Shooting
When t he focal length is varied t hr ough zooming for
macro shooting, the focus point cha nges correspondi ng ly.
Multi·point focusi ng uti lizes this characteristic to give a
special effect in which the focus point is moved.
Mount the camera on a tripod, lock the macro ring,
set the zoom ring to the te lephoto end and focus.
Th en,
set
the
zoom
ring to the max im um wide-
angle, set the macro ring for macro shooting and
co ntro l it to focus the lens on the nearest subject. As a
checking measure, set the zoom ring to the max imum
te lephoto w i th the macro ring left as it is and refocus
the lens on the deepest subject. When the zoom lens is
set to the maximu m wide-ang le and the camera is
zoomed t he focus point will move from the nearest
subject to the d eepest subject and d ivers if ied cuts wi ll
be ass ured .
