2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Shut off the machine and remove the key.
4. Disconnect the T-handle connector
main wire harness to the main-power-supply
connector
5. Clean and dry both the battery pack and
charger connectors.
Do not use strong solvents that will degrade the strength of the connector plastic. Do
not use dielectric grease on the connector or battery contacts.
6. Align the positive connectors (marked with a "+") of the charger connector and the
power supply connector and push them together until they lock.
Monitoring the Charging Process and Troubleshooting
Note:
The LCD status display displays messages during the course of charging. Most
messaged are routine.
If there is a fault, the error indicator light will flash amber, or light solid red. An error message
will appear 1 digit at a time on the InfoCenter, starting with the letter E or F (e.g., E-0-1-1).
To correct an error, refer to machine Service Manual.
Disconnecting the Charger
1. Disconnect the charger T-handle connector from the battery-power supply connector
affixed to the battery tray.
Do not pull on the cables
2. Place the charger T-handle and cord in a storage position that will avoid damage.
