Maintenance
Before carrying out any maintenance
operation, always disconnect the plug
from the wall socket.
Periodical cleaning
Wash the interior of the appliance with
lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda.
Clean the outer casing with a silicon-wax
spray. The condenser and compressor
should be cleaned using a brush or a
vacuum cleaner. This latter operation
1] maintain the appliance's excellent
ndards of performance and save
energy.
When appliance is not used
During periods when the appliance is not
used, you should take the following
precautions:
Remove the plug from the wall socket
Remove all food from the appliance
Defrost and clean the interior and all
accessories
Leave the doors slightly open, thus
letting air circulate and preventing the
formation of mould and unpleasant
smells.
Interior light

have to do is to pull out the press-in
lamp fitting or otherwise, in the case of
some models, remove the lamp from the
fitting itself.
If the light does not go on when the door
is open, check that it is screwed into
place properly. If it still does not light
up, change the bulb.
Servicing
What to do if the appliance is not
working properly
If something is not working properly,
check that:
The plug is firmly pushed into the wall
socket and that the mains power switch
is on
There has not been a power failure
The control knobs are in the right
position.
In addition:
If the appliance seems unduly noisy,
check that the sides are not touching
furniture that can set off noise and
vibration. Also check that the piping of
the refrigerant system does not vibrate.
If your appliance is still not working
properly after having checked all these
points, we recommend that you contact
your nearest service center.
To receive fast service, when you call the
center you should specify the model and
serial number (given on guarantee or
rating plate) of the appliance you own.
