1. Enter the menu options and select <System
Settings> and then <Factory reset>.
The display will read, <All settings will
be restored to factory defaults! Are you
sure?>
2. Use the and
<Yes> to reset the radio. Highlight <No> to
cancel. Short press the

3. If you choose 'Yes' and your radio is not
connected to a power supply via the USB
charging cable, the display will read <Please
connect to power supply>
4. If you choose 'Yes' and your radio is connected
to a power supply via the USB charging cable,
the display will read <Restarting...>.
5. When the radio has fully reset, the display will
read <SHARP, sharpconsumer.eu> and will
go into Standby mode with a clock display.

Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing problems with your radio,
there are some quick and easy checks that you can
do, which may help to solve the problem.
No sound / power:
• Adjust the volume.
• If you have headphones connected, audio will
play through them. Unplug your headphones to
listen through the radio speakers.
• Ensure the battery is fully charged. Follow the
instruction in the section, 'Charging the built-in
battery' .
• Ensure you are in the correct mode and using
the correct control functions for that mode.
If the radio reception is poor:
• Make sure that you have fully extended the
aerial.
• Rescan for radio stations, see sections 'Radio
Station Scanning' , 'DAB radio station scanning'
or 'Changing FM stations' as appropriate.
