You may be prompted to restart your computer so that the new hardware can be
recognized by the system.
Reinstalling
If a driver is accidentally deleted or the operating system is reinstalled, the driver

subdirectory allows you to restore individual drivers rather than restoring all the
original software. The drivers you can restore are Audio, Video, TouchPad, Display,
Modem, and CD-ROM.
To reinstall a driver, complete the following steps:

Drivers may also be reinstalled by selecting the Selective Restore option from
QuickRestore. Refer to QuickRestore earlier in this chapter for more information on
how to reinstall drivers using the Selective Restore option.

Select the Specify a location option. If C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS is
not displayed in the drop-down box, either select it from the drop-down menu or
type it in the box and click Next. The Add New Hardware Wizard will begin
installing the necessary files and drivers for the new hardware.
When the Add New Hardware Wizard completes installing the files and drivers,
click the Finish button.
From the Windows Taskbar, click Start, point to Programs, and click Windows
Explorer.
Navigate to the CPQDRV folder on the hard drive and double-click it.
Find the folder of the device you wish to reinstall and double-click it.
Double-click the setup program for the driver you wish to reinstall.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
