VersaBay II

The VersaBay II lets you remove your diskette drive and
add another hard disk drive, CD-ROM reader, or a second
battery pack.
NOTE
VersaBay II must be specified as slave devices in
the Setup utility. They must also be set as slave
devices via the hardware switch on the back of the
CD-ROM reader.
If you install a second hard disk drive in the Versa-
Bay II, it can be set to either master or slave.
However, if you use a hard disk drive from a previ-
ous Versa model, the drive is set to master. (The
Master drive is the drive from which the system
boots.) Setting the drive to master lets you access
both the optional drive and internal drive.
Remove the diskette drive from the VersaBay II as follows:
1.
Make sure the NEC Versa 4000 is powered off and all
options are disconnected.
2.
Turn the system upside down with the front facing away
from you.
3.
Locate the VersaBay II release latches on the bottom of
the unit.
