53 is returned to address 55. The disc from address 1 is returned to
address 3 and the disc from address 51 is returned to address 53.
If two drives are installed, two of four discs are moved to drive posi-
tion and played.
This completes one operation cycle and the second cycle is started. In
the second and third cycle, discs are moved and clamped, however,
they are not played back by the available drives. The operation of the
changer mechanism is the same in every cycle, but discs are played
only in one of 3 cycles.
After 500 cycles are completed, the default Aging Mode A is stopped.
To stop this operation before it is completed, press S4 for 3 seconds
or more. The changer will stop after completing its current cycle and
the green LED will flash.
5.6.2 MODE 5 - submode 1 (Default Mode B)
This runs the same test as in Mode A, for only six hours
1. Place eight discs into the top magazine in disc addresses 1 to 4
and 51 to 54. See Figure 5-14, Loading Magazine for Default
Test Mode A. Use only eight discs as instructed. All other disc
addresses in the top magazine and in all the other magazines
must be empty.
2. Press MD+ to #5 to enter Aging Mode. See Figure 5-18.
3. Press SM+ or SM- to #1 to enter Submode 1. See Figure 5-18.
4. Press the S4 button to begin Aging Mode Test in Mode B.
Description of a single cycle in Mode B
Operation of one cycle for Mode B is the same as in Mode A. In the
second and third cycles, discs are not moved to drive position, they
are just moved directly to the original address+ 2. After 6 hours of
this operation, Mode B is stopped.
To stop this operation before it is completed, press S4 for 3 seconds
or more. The changer will stop after completing its current cycle and
the green LED will flash.
