Install HotFix

Install the Microsoft hotfix clusfixi.exe on System A and System B. If you have not already downloaded
clusfixi.exe, see Appendix E for instructions on downloading this hotfix file from the worldwide web.
At this point, your cluster is operational. You are now ready to go to Testing the Cluster Installation to ensure
that your cluster is fully operational.

Testing the Cluster Installation

There are two programs that can be used to test the installed cluster. These are the Cluster Installation Test and
the Hardware Verification and Labeling Utility. Follow the instructions below to obtain and use these utilities
to test your installed cluster.
Cluster Installation Test
The HP Cluster Installation Test (CIT) should be performed on your installed cluster prior to placing it online.
The CIT performs an operational failover test of the cluster to verify that if a node fails the operating node takes
over all functions. The test gathers customer and cluster installation information along with the failover test
results to print a Test Certificate. You should use this certificate when contacting HP customer support.
Obtaining CIT
If you have not downloaded CIT, refer to Software under What's Needed earlier in this guide for instructions.
Running CIT
The CIT help file contains detailed information on the test and instructions for setting up and running the test.
Be sure to follow the following additional instructions in running the test.
1.
Execute the CIT archive to unpack and install it on the client system from which you will run the
test.
2.
Map the cluster nodes' local disks to drive letters on the client system. For additional
information, see Map Network Drive in Windows NT Help.
3.
Map the cluster file shares to drive letters on the client system. For additional information, see
Map Network Drive in Windows NT Help.
4.
Copy the file MSVBVM50.dll from the %windir%\System32 directory on the client to
%windir%\system32 on each cluster node.
5.
Execute CIT.exe on the client to run the test.
6.
After the Cluster Installation Test completes, clean up the cluster and client:
Remove the Cluster Installation Test files from the client.
Remove the \Test directory from the local drives on each cluster node.
Delete the three resources you added to each of the two disk groups on the cluster.
