This section describes what Overlay Printing is, how to create a form file, and how
to print with an Overlay.

What Is Overlay Printing?

Overlay Printing overlays text data onto a form file.
For example, if the format of a report or bill is created in application software as a

To perform Overlay Printing, form files are required. You can use Image data files
for Form Composition stored in the printer.
