DIODE TEST
1. Set t he function switch tothe-I)l--)_
position.
2. Insert the black test l ead
banana plug i nto the negative
COM jack and the red test
lead b anana plug i nto the
positive -IN-jack.
3. Touch the test p robes tothe
diode u nder test.
4. Agood d iode
w ill indicate
approx. 700 ohms for the
forward test and "1 "for the
reverse test.
5. A shorted diode will indicate
the same value of resistance
in both the reverse and
forward test directions. An
open diode will indicate "1
in both test directions.
