! Playback sound-actuated recording
Recording automatically starts or pauses by detecting
sound from the stereo system (synchronised recording).
Cancel the setting for trace-back recording.

Press the REC button.
Recording is paused.

To perform group recording, hold down the
GROUP button for 2 seconds or more so
that "GR" is lit.
When group recording is not performed, hold down
the GROUP button for 2 seconds or more so that
"GR" goes out.

Start playback on the external equipment
and adjust the recording level by pressing
the

button (page 20).

Press the PAUSE button on the stereo sys-
tem to enter the playback pause mode.
Select the starting point for your recording and press
the PAUSE button.

Press the MENU button.
The unit enters the menu select mode.

Select "REC MODE" by pressing the
button and press the MENU button.

Select the recording mode (step 3, page 35)
and press the MENU button.

Begin playback on the stereo system.
Recording will begin automatically.
Notes:
" When the stereo system is stopped, the unit will enter
the synchro recording pause mode. When playback is
resumed, the recording will be resumed.
" If a silence lasts for 3 seconds or more, recording will
be paused (pause function does not work for approxi-
mately 10 seconds after the recording starts). When
the unit receives sound again, recording automatically
starts.

" A new track number is created when the recording
resumes.
" Synchronised recording cannot be set with trace-
back recording. Cancel trace-back recording (page
38).
