Theatre Mode and Picture Neutral Functions

Theatre Mode Function

Pressing the THEATER MODE button on the remote control
presets the Digital Gamma and Digital Super to Theatre mode.
The player remains in this mode no matter how many times the
THEATER MODE button is pressed.
Theatre mode refers to a mode in which the Digital Gamma
(GAMMA: ||
) and Digital Super Picture (S-PICTURE:
|
) functions are both used.
To exit Theatre mode, change the Digital Gamma (see page 43) and
Digital Super Picture (see page 44) selections separately to the
desired settings.

Picture Neutral Function

Pressing the PICTURE NEUTRAL button on the remote control
switches player operation to Picture Neutral mode. The player
remains in this mode no matter how many times the PICTURE
NEUTRAL button is pressed.
Picture Neutral mode refers to a mode in which the Digital Gamma
and Digital Super Picture functions are both switched off.
To exit Picture Neutral mode, change the Digital Gamma (see page 43)
and Digital Super Picture (see page 44) selections separately to the
desired settings.
You cannot use the OSD (On Screen Display) screen to check
whether or not you are in Theatre mode or Picture Neutral mode.
Refer instead to the actual video image played back.
